The Hub — what it tracks, and connecting an account

Modified on: Thu, 24 Sep, 2026 at 6:50 AM

The Hub holds everything you're carrying around: appointments, promises buried somewhere in an email thread, and the loose ends that never had a date attached. It puts that together from your accounts so the job of remembering stops being yours.

It isn't a calendar

The scope is worth spelling out, because the daily brief across the top can give the impression of a calendar. It's something else. Calendars know what's booked; the Hub is attempting to follow what you're responsible for. That covers Thursday's dentist appointment, the reply you've owed someone since last week, and the gym membership that has been on your mental to-do list for months.

Focus mode shows the today-shaped portion of all that, not the whole of it. Using the Hub day to day goes into the views.

Connect an account first

Where: Settings › Connectors  ·  Needs: A Google account

Until a connector is switched on, the Hub has nothing to display. Google is the only option at present, and it takes in Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Drive.

  1. Open Settings → Connectors and pick Google.
  2. Make your way through Google's usual permission screens.
  3. A screen will caution you that this isn't a verified Google application. Choose Continue. Verification is in progress at our end, and until it lands that warning is expected.

Linking Google doesn't pull your files across by itself. Chat access and Private Data Storage imports are governed by separate toggles on that same tab.
